Well not exactly my workbench (it's covered with bender plans right now), but here is what I have on the setup bench:

I had to reset the neck a little, I have to file one fret that popped up, and I'm currently working on getting the intonation set. Then when it's playable I have to install a pick guard and drop in the K&K system so it's still a little ways from being done.

CSullivan...

That guitar is just dang AWESOME.. who did your inlay?, I think it looks really really nice, I'm working a new model that will have the OO shape like that.. great stuff...

Killer guitar Paul!!

I just love Snakewood. I have a Cocobolo GA that is getting about as much Snakewood trim as you can put on an intrument. Can't wait to get it done.

I need to find some new batteries for my digital camera and then maybe I can get a few pictures up.

Woweee Russ! Beautiful job! I like all that glitz! All you need is an abalony pick guard to finish it off! I`m still struggeling to find a way to post pics. I bought a digital camera and have all these nice pics on my computer but I can`t get them from here to there. Soft ware problem?? The site will not search where I have them and I can`t get them where it searches. I`m puter pooped for sure!

What a cool thread! Here is my collection of bench visitors --

left to right -
Italian top, LS redwood, Engelman, cedar (All needing rosettes) then a braced Mahogany back and a Ziricote back, in the foreground is the 12 fret dread Ive been chipping away at.

As I keep returning to this thread, I'm more and more intrigued by the 10 string that Michael built. Or, is building. To quote Darth Vadar, "Impressive!"
And forgive me Michael, but I'm wondering just how wide a neck you could build? Do you s'pose you could do one as wide as the upper bout? Something like 30+ strings?
A Fred Carlson type beast?

The mad hatter in me would love to see someone try....

Well, I'm closing up the box on another small jumbo, mahogany back and sides this time. It's for a customer in Oslo who just ordered one, including a 50% deposit, wihtout ever having played any of my instruments! He wanted a plain, mahogany guitar and that's what it is. Check it out:

Then there's this F5 that I'm about to start staining a red sunburst on. Front:

And back:

Cocephus,
Thanks!! I had just pulled those vice grips out of the package and forgot about them. You can even see the nut in between the jaws that came in the package. I didn't notice until you mentioned it, but they are in all the shots.
Yeah, Maple Back & Sides. Bloodwood trimmings

I'm not sure what's on my bench right now it's so covered with resawing dust. Maybe this will motivate me to clean and find what's under it all.

Your absolutely right John, these guys are trully inspirational. I don't have a thing in progress right now but rebuilding my side bender. I'm trying to come up with a little more surefooted method of bending figured wood into tight cutaways. I watched the Taylor side bending video today and I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate those ideas into something a little more universal and smaller. I might just have to go to my shop tomorrow and start something.
